The World of 3d

One of my favorite things to do is to 3d print. Being able to bring digital models to real life is a great expierience.

why I started

Ive seem videos online of people creating cool objects from game/movie character helmets to rockets that could actually fly. I was fasinated with the ability to draw something on a computer and have that thing be created later that day. It was like having a miniture factory in your own house that lets you build things to your specifications thats not reliant on parts youd have to buy otherwise.

What is it?

I 3D print with FDM printer. That stands for Fused Deposition Modeling, that means it works by heating up plastic and laying down small lines of molten plastic. When they cool, they fuse to the plastic below it, creating a solid structure. It repeats layer after layer until the object is done printing.

This is how i have my 3d printer set up. It's a little cramped but theres enough space for it to work.
